Hi Rachel, and a very warm welcome to the forum, though I`m very sorry you have been diagnosed with RA.

I`m Kathleen, diagnosed almost six years ago, and currently taking Humira, having tried and failed a variety of DMARDs and combinations of DMARDs.

Hello Rachel, I am also New to this site but am finding so many wonderful posts that have answered so many questions. It is so tiring have a youngster to look after with RA. My daughter was 4 when I was diagnosed and I remember some days being a huge struggle. Just get as much rest as possible, even if it means missing a days housework ( the housework will always be there the next day BigGrin ) Take Care x

Hi Rachel,

I'm Lorna, I am 52 married to my husband Ken and have 3 lovely daughters. I have had RA for almost 4 years now, I was very ill at the start but have come a long way thanks to the triple therapy. I feel for you being so young, my middle daughter is ages with you. This is a good forum for everything, everyone is kind and helpful. Never feel sorry for venting it really helps at times. I hope you don't suffer too much with RA. Try to keep positive it does help.

Thinking about you
Take care Lorna x Smile

Hi Rachel

Welcome to the forum. A great place to be for support and information; lots of folk, lots of knowledge and a wealth of tried and tested experiences! Glad you have found us and NRAS!

I'm Lyn, married to Mike, we have four 'kidults' Abby 23, Ian and Jake 18, and Louis 17. We live in Thornton Cleveleys in north west Lancashire. I was diagnosed with RA over 23 years ago and have since run the gauntlet of medication, had several surgical procedures along the way and looks like more in the offing! Currently on Prednisolone, Methotrexate and Naproxen. Been on anti-tnf for 8 years but just stopped due to lack of efficacy, and starting Rituximab next week. Add to that little lot a bucket load of pain killers and other bits and pieces! But heyho...

I have had all my children (including three under 16 months!) whilst having RA and it can be extremely hard going at times. Like anything though a positive outlook and a determination not to be beaten goes a long way!

Keep posting Rachel, look forward to getting to know you Smile
